Terms & conditions
Last updated 13 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Sort Your. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Sort Your is a home inventory and passing-it-on service. It helps you photograph and organise your things, list items you'd like to sell, swap or give away, and connect with school communities and local families.
Your account
You must be 18 or over to hold an account. Keep your sign-in details private and let us know if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for the items, descriptions, prices and photos you add.
Listing and handovers
When you list an item, you confirm it's yours to pass on and that your description is honest. Any sale, swap, donation or collection arrangement is between you and the other person — Sort Your introduces people and organises listings but isn't a party to the transaction, doesn't handle payments, and can't guarantee another person's behaviour.
Suggested prices and identifications from photo recognition are estimates only — always check them before listing.
Don't list anything illegal, unsafe, recalled, counterfeit, or that you're not allowed to sell (including certain cosmetics once opened where prohibited).
School communities
School kit features rely on school and collection-point information that schools, PTAs and volunteers help keep accurate. Verified collection points act on their own behalf when handling items.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no scraping, no spam, no uploading content that isn't yours or that could harm others, and no attempts to access other people's data. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Availability and liability
We work hard to keep Sort Your available and accurate, but it's provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or our liability for something we can't lawfully exclude; otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service grows. If a change is significant we'll flag it in the app or by email. Continuing to use Sort Your after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
